2003 Target: Kojo Mensah

Kojo Mensah, an athletic 6-1, 180-pound combo guard from Bishop Loughlin High School in Brooklyn, has generated interest from some high major programs this spring.
Pittsburgh will watch Mensah work out this Friday, while UConn and Hofstra have also expressed interest. The junior averaged 9.3 points this past season for a Loughlin team that included Villanova-signee Curtis Sumpter, JUCO-bound jumping jack Jason Olive, and division I prospect Kirk Bunn, also in the junior class.

Mensah is an athletic slasher who excels at angling in for buckets on the interior and is equipped with a sizeable wingspan. Mensah rebounds well for a guard. Kojo is a very capable passer who has excellent court vision and awareness.
Mensah, who will likely play the point at the next level, will play with the Riverside Church AAU program this spring and summer. Kojo told us that Riverside will participate in the Peach Jam in Atlanta and in a Memorial Day Tournament in Indiana, among others.
Kojo has an 83 scholastic average and has scored 940 on the PSAT.
