2003 Target: Gary Forbes
Gary Forbes, a 6-5, 190-pound swingman from Benjamin Banneker Academy in Brooklyn, NY, plays for traditional AAU powerhouse Riverside Church.
Forbes is a member of the 2003 class. Forbes, the wiry swingman, was the driving force behind Riverside Church's junior team's semifinal birth in the IS8 playoffs in Queens this past weekend.

Possessing a sweet stroke from deep and the ability to take it to the rack with a quick first step, Forbes gave the Long Island Panthers fits Friday night with his versatility.
A terror in transition, the long Forbes torched Gary Charles' team with pull-ups,
dribble drives, and the deep ball. Forbes led Banneker to the New York City Public School Athletic League "B" title last season.
Forbes averaged 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists playing shooting guard for Banneker last season as a sophomore. Forbes has seen early interest from Syracuse, Hofstra, UMass, and Rider.
But most schools do not know enough about him yet to get seriously involved. It's likely most staffs will find out when they see Forbes out there with Riverside Church on the AAU circuit.
