2003 Target: Gary Ervin

Gary Ervin, Robeson High School's ultra-athletic point man, is close to choosing his prep school destination for next year.
"I'll probably go to St. Thomas More," said Ervin. "But I'm not sure yet. I'll probably decide this week."

If Ervin decides to head to St. Thomas More, he will join fellow Brooklyn native Quincy Douby, who has already decided to attend St. Thomas next year. The ultra-quick Ervin and rangy sniper Douby would no doubt comprise one of the top guard tandems on the
prep circuit.
Ervin has been playing with the Riverside Church AAU program this spring and recently participated in the Boo Williams Invitational in Richmond, VA. Ervin was named the victorious Brooklyn team's MVP at the recent Wheelchair Classic at Long Island University.
Ervin has a pack of Big East schools that are in contention for him, as well as pair of Conference USA schools.
"My top five are Seton Hall, Rutgers, Miami, Pittsburgh, and Cincinnati," said Ervin. "They've all offered. And Memphis has been calling recently."
