COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Five-star guard Anfernee Simons verbally committed to Louisville over a year ago at the start of his junior season. He was a mid-ranked guy and not a lot of people knew anything about him. Fast forward to this past spring and Simons was one of the break out players in the 2018 class rocketing him to a five-star status. After last week's news and the firing of Rick Pitino, Simons decommitted from Louisville and opened things back up. Since then, he's had in-home visits with Florida, Florida State and South Carolina. He's also heard recently from Villanova, SMU and UCLA.
Simons recaps the in-home visits with Rivals.com and what his next steps are in the recruiting process. The five-star guard plans on taking his time and hearing anyone out before he makes a decision. Expect a late spring signing from one of the best guards in the 2018 class.
