The Good: He has a strong arm and all the physical talent to become a starting quarterback in the NFL. For such a tall passer, his delivery is surprisingly compact. He is able to get the ball into tight windows with very good accuracy. He has a fine sense of timing and touch and sees the field well while going quickly through his progressions.
The Bad: He has operated mainly out of the shotgun formation, and he struggled initially while under center at the Senior Bowl. Will need to work on his three-, five- and seven-step drops to be ready for the pro game. He will have to show he can move quickly in his setup, where he is currently only adequate. He has decent 4.8 speed, but he is not a scrambler.
