Relative weight, in order, is given to wins or losses against nationally ranked out of state teams, other teams in The NYC Hoops Top 10 and against the 5 "bubbling under" teams. Less weight is given to teams that are not ranked.
#1 Abraham Lincoln (Brooklyn, NY) Record: 7 - 0 The Railsplitters continue their winning ways recently defeating Boys & Girls High School in double overtime. Lance Stephenson has been his usually dominant self, as Lincoln seems to be on cruise control. They are currently competing in the Bojangles Tournament in North Carolina, which also has next-door neighbor, and also undefeated, St. Benedicts of New Jersey in attendance as well. Previously #1
#2 Rice (Manhattan, NY) Record: 7 - 0 The Raiders are still undefeated as they blew through the Iolani Classic Tournament in Hawaii. Drexel-bound Chris Fouch stepped up big as Rice defeated all the local teams and then manhandled Mt. Vernon in a head-to-head match-up on the final days of the tournament. Rice is currently in the Bay Ball Classic in Delaware. # 5 ranked Christ the King is also in this tournament. Previously #2
#3 St. Raymond (Bronx, NY) Record: 7 - 0 The Ravens complete the trio of the unbeaten as the came off a victory over Christ the King to defeat Patterson Catholic and St. Peter's. In the process, Darryl Bryant managed to score his 1000th point. They are currently playing in the Gatorade International Shootout in Puerto Rico. Previously #3
#4 Holy Cross (Flushing, NY) Record: 4 - 1 The Knights participated in the City of Palms Classic in Florida and defeated the tough Woodland Hill Taft team from California with Virginia-bound Sylven Landesberg scoring 31pts. They did manage to make the playoffs but unfortunately suffered their first defeat to Chester, a team from Pennsylvania. Next up for Holy Cross? The Stop DWI Tournament in Binghamton, NY. #5 Christ the King (Middle Village, NY) Record: 4 - 1 The Royals rebounded from their loss to St. Rays by defeating New Guiford of North Carolina and handing the #10 ranked Xaverian their first loss of the year. Ryan Pearson has been stepping up his game. Christ the King is currently participating in the Bay Ball Classic in Delaware. Previously #7
#6 Bishop Loughlin (Brooklyn, NY) Record: 4 - 1 The Lions defeated Towson Catholic and Roman Catholic, in the Gonzaga Tournament, breaking a point scoring record in the process. They also received their first loss in the championships to the host team, Gonzaga. James Johnson played be for Bishop Loughlin. They are currently in the Tampa Bay Classic. Previously #6
#7 Boys & Girls (Brooklyn, NY) Record: 6 - 2 The Kangaroos recently lost a hard fought double overtime heartbreaker to #1 Lincoln. Rutgers-bound Patrick Jackson has played well for "The High." They are currently playing in the Beach Ball Classic in South Carolina. Previously #8
#8 Mt. Vernon (Mount Vernon, NY) Record: 5 - 2 The Knights recently had an unsuccessful run Iolani Classic in Hawaii. They suffered their first loss of the year to The Mason County Royals of Kentucky and then received their second loss of the year in the same tournament to #2 ranked Rice. Previously #4
#9 John F. Kennedy (Bronx, NY) Record: 9 - 0 The Kennedy Knights are undefeated but need to play against more formidable competition to rise in the rankings. Previously #9
#10 Xaverian (Brooklyn, NY) Record: 4 -2 The Clippers recently lost their first game to the unranked Wadleigh high school then lost their second game to the #5 ranked Christ the King Royals. Xaverian has a critical game coming up against #4 ranked Holy Cross. Previously #10
