Camron Justice Commits to Tennessee

2015 Knott County Central guard Camron Justice committed to Tennessee Saturday while on a visit for their football game against South Carolina. Justice is one of the best players in the 2015 class (#139 in the Rivals 150), and one of the top shooters nationally.

Justice was the 6th leading scorer in Kentucky last season, averaging 25.4 points per game. He was also the 11th most active three point shooter, averaging 2.5 threes per game, and he made 40% of those shots.

Tennessee had been the leader for Justice for a while. He told me that he decided to commit because he didn't think any other school could beat what Tennessee has to offer. "I didn't think I could find a place that was a better fit for me."

Former Kentucky stars have done very well at Tennessee. Both Scotty Hopson (University Heights) and Chris Lofton (Mason County) continued their careers in Knoxville. Justice told me that while it wasn't a main factor, their success at UT did play in a little bit. "Those two Kentucky kids went down there and did pretty good, and I kind of wanted to be the next one."

Justice told me that Vanderbilt was the school closest to Tennessee in his recruitment. Schools like Boston College, Butler, Wake Forest and Clemson were also recruiting him.

With his commitment out of the way Justice can focus on leading one of the top teams in the state this season. "I'm trying to win a state title," said Justice, "and I'm trying to become a better player."
