PISCATAWAY, N.J. -- The Rivals Camp Series presented by Under Armour will head to Piscataway High in Piscataway this weekend and many top story lines are expected to emerge. Here are five things to watch for this weekend.
1. Battle in the trenches
Usually the most exciting part of a camp like this is when the offensive line group and defensive line group do one-on-ones. These two groups have the talent and depth to put on quite a show.
The question is, which players will show they can excel on Saturday?
4. Skilled youth
The 2014 class might be on center stage but the younger players could steal the show. Fitzpatrick, Wimbush, Smith, Ali, Gonzalez, Smith, Gary and Guarantano all have a few scholarship offers already and look to be some of the big names for their year.
Although many of the players who will be on the field on Saturday are some of the best in the nation, all hail from the Northeast. Players from Connecticut, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., and, of course, New Jersey will descend on Piscataway High School to show that they are better than the others.
Delaware looks to make a strong case with Godwin, Canteen, Wade, Creamer and Harding. Massachusetts could challenge the First State with four-star linebacker Connor Strachan, Baker, Hendren and quarterback Miles Wright. The nation's capital and Maryland are sending Mustipher, Ulmer and Smith. New York is looking to prove it's the best with Hayes, Holley, Samuel, Zembiec and Crossdale.
It looks, however, like it will come down to the players from Pennsylvania and New Jersey to stake their claim as the best.
Williams, Ford, Franklin, Martin, Morehart, Angus, White, Blyden, McIlwain, Thaddius Smith and Trey Klock all hail from Pennsylvania and will be looking to take on the best New Jersey has to offer. Nelson, Dickerson, Hester, Jennings, Owens, Gopre, White, Jenkins, Nelson, Lawry, Brown and a number of younger players will be looking to protect their home turf.
