Walton to USC?

One of South Carolina's biggest remaining targets in the 2013 class is Daphne (Ala) Bayside's Jonathan Walton.

On Sunday night, Walton posted the following to his Twitter account:

"Looks like ill be joining @MoCamara3 at our new home!!! #gamecocknation"

The 6-foot-1, 230-pounder has SEC offers from Auburn, Ole Miss, and Tennessee.. Originally committed to Penn State, Walton backed off that pledge in January after picking up his first SEC offer from South Carolina.

The talented two-way prospect took official visits to Minnesota, Penn State, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Auburn (in that order) from November to earlier this month, most recently to Auburn. The Tigers are recruiting Walton at the h-back position while South Carolina has him on the board as a linebacker.

The three-star prospect, ranked as the twenty-first best outside linebacker prospect in the country by Rivals.com, is being recruited to South Carolina by linebackers coach Kirk Botkin.
