Pitt landed a big local recruit on Saturday when Clairton receiver Tyler Boyd committed to the Panthers.
Boyd made his announcement at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio, Texas. He chose Pitt over a host of offers, including West Virginia, Michigan State, Arizona, Boston College, Cincinnati, Connecticut, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Mississippi, Notre Dame, Penn State, Purdue, Rutgers, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, and Wisconsin.
A four-star recruit, Boyd ranks as the No. 8 receiver prospect in the nation and the No. 60 recruit overall.
