Arizona State grabs three-star guard

It's been an interesting few weeks at Arizona State.

Head coach Herb Sendeksaw two assistant coaches leave late and replaced them a few days ago. The additions to the Sun Devils staff came just in time for them to host longtime target Chance Murray.

Considered the heavy favorites to land the 6-foot-2 combo guard from Los Angeles (Calif.) Price headed into his visit, ASU made sure to lock down the three-star Murray.

"I had a great time and kind of expected I might commit before we went there but everything lived up to our expectations," Murray told Chris Karpman of ASUDevils.com. "Even though it was my first official, I felt like I saw everything I needed to and don't feel like I'll be missing out on anything by not taking other trips."

A scorer by nature, Murray is a confident offensive player. He can slide over and play some at the point, is a good pull-up jump shooter and has sneaky athleticism that let's him finish around the rim.

With Murray in the fold, the Sun Devils now hold commitments from a pair of three-star prospects as he joins Florida wing Egor Koulechov in ASU's 2013 recruiting class.
