Poythress cuts list to five

Four-star forward Alex Poythress of Clarksville, Tenn., said on Monday that he has cut his list of potential colleges to Kentucky, Florida, Memphis, Vanderbilt and Duke.

Poythress, a 6-foot-8, 225-pound player for Clarksville's Northeast High School, plans to make official visits to all five of those schools at dates not yet determined.

Poythress, the nation's No. 38 2012 prospect, according to Rivals, made an unofficial visit to UK over the weekend, meeting with coach John Calipari and new UK President Eli Capilouto, among many others.

Poythress has visited every school on his list unofficially except Duke, and he told that the UK visit was his favorite among the trips he's taken.
