Billmeier On Board

Over the past weekend St. Patrick's Grant Billmeier gave a verbal committment to Seton Hall head coach Louis Orr. The 6'10", 225 pound center will be entering his senior year and will join the Pirates for the 2003-2004 season.

Billmeier recently played in the prestigious Nike All-America Camp in Indianapolis. It was the third time Grant participated in the camp. He is currently playing in a tournament in Florida.

Billmeier, regarded as one of the best centers in this years class, also received offers from Big East foes Pittsburgh, Villanova, Notre Dame and Rutgers among others. Michigan and former Seton Hall coach Tommy Amaker also made a late push to get involved.

Grant's verbal committment to the Pirate program is Orr's first this season. Seton Hall has two remaining scholarships to offer.

Former Pirates Shaheen Holloway and Samuel Dalembert, now with the Philadelphia 76ers, are also former St. Patrick's players.
