Bay Area’s Green drawing Pac 10 attention

The Bay area of Oakland, California has been known for having several players make it in the Pac 10 Conference and star in the NBA. Players such as Lester Conner (Oregon State), Gary Payton (Oregon State), Jason Kidd (California), and Leon Powe (California), all come to mind. John Green is one name is on the rise and last month he elevated his game.

Green a 6-foot-5 shooting guard from Oakland (Calif.) Castlemont, is one member of the class of 2010 on the rise. Green is ranked by Nor-Cal Preps as the #1 small forward in the region. He has been a three year varsity starter and last season was 1st team All-Oakland Athletic League and MVP of the Archbishop Riordan tournament last season in San Francisco.
