Mr. Basketball speaks on instate offer

Forest Hill four-star point guard Andre Stringer is the reigning Mr. Basketball in the state of Mississippi.

But when it comes time to make a decision, will the 5-foot-9, 170-pounder remain in the Magnolia State or will he take his talents elsewhere?

Stringer is rated the No. 22 point guard in the country by Rivals and the No. 94 overall player and is glad to see that all of his hard work is paying off.

"At this point I think that everything is working out for me with all the hard work I've put in, days and nights in the gym," Stringer said. "I'm not surprised because I knew one day that it would come. It feels really good to be that type of caliber player though."

Stringer has several offers on the table right now and has several favorites.

"Recruiting has been real good," Stringer said. "I've hearing from many different people like Mississippi State, Ole Miss, LSU, Alabama, Marquette, USC and Miami. My top schools right now would probably be LSU, Alabama, Mississippi State and Miami."

Stringer's instate favorite is the defending Southeastern Conference Tournament Champions Mississippi State. Stringer visited the Starkville campus earlier this summer for a team camp and is anxiously awaiting the arrival of Renardo Sidney this fall.
