Releford's stock on the rise

It should come as absolutely no surprise that Trevor Releford has become quite familiar with the Kansas men's basketball program during the past couple of years. The 5-foot-10, 170-pound point guard from Bishop Miege High School in Shawnee Mission, Kan., witnessed his older brother, Travis Releford, go through the recruiting process, and eventually sign with Kansas. Last season, Trevor saw his brother don the Crimson and Blue uniform. Last week, the senior-to-be attended KU's elite camp and spoke to Jayhawk Slant about his time in Lawrence.

Releford, because of his play on the court, has emerged as a big time prospect in the 2010 class. His play throughout the AAU circuit, at times, has been sensational. Releford has been aggressive taking the ball to the basket, connecting from the outside, getting teammates involved and, most importantly, his play on the defense has been solid.
