Dunbar receiver gaining tons of attention

Fort Worth Dunbar junior wide receiver Darius White is a man for all seasons. On the football field, he's one of the premier long distance threats in the class of 2010 with 40 catches for 1,057 catches and 16 touchdowns this past season. This followed a 2007 campaign in which he averaged 25.7 yards per reception and scored 11 touchdowns. In fact, he's caught 27 touchdowns on just 69 receptions in his two seasons.

In basketball, he's currently averaging 18 points and 10 rebounds a game for a Dunbar team that's undefeated in district 7-4A. He's been playing AAU basketball since he was four years old and gets recruiting letters from college basketball coaches.

In baseball, he's a pitcher and a first baseman. In track, he runs on the 4x100-meter, 4x200-meter and 4x400-meter relay teams and also high jumps well enough to qualify for the Region I track meet last year.

Nonetheless, White's accomplishments on the football field stand out above all others. Dunbar runs the spread and White is an outside receiver, which means that he is often put in positon to make big plays.
