New Hampshire forward earns Pac 10 offer

The new offense that head coach Craig Robinson plans to implement at Oregon State requires skill and versatility. So when the Oregon State head coach and his staff hit the road recruiting during the September evaluation period, they paid close attention to prospects who best fit the system. Evan Smotrycz may still have some growing to do with his game, but the 6-foot-9, 205-pound forward at New Hampton Prep in New Hampshire is certainly skilled, making him an early Beaver target for the recruiting class of 2010.

Smotrycz is a newcomer this season at New Hampton Prep after transferring in from Reading Memorial High School in Massachusetts. Originally a member of the class of 2009, he'll be at New Hampton repeating his junior year.
