Lewinson makes official visit

Just when we thought Ron Everhart had finalized his 2008 recruiting class it turns out he is still on the road looking for talent. According to Anthony Ray from {db}Oliver Lewinson{/db} took an official visit to Duquesne's campus on August 13th and was offered a scholarship to join the Dukes 2008-09 roster.

Lewinson, a 6'9 240lb graduating high school senior, was thought to be going to junior college but after strong performances during AAU play this July his stock has been on the rise. In addition to his offer from Duquesne Lewinson has also received offers from Montana State and Albany. Scouting Report
Arizona Preps Scouting Report: Lewinson is a rare find among today's athletes, a low post player that likes to bang inside and play on the low block. He is a strong low post scorer either with his back to the basket, or while facing the basket out to 15-18 feet. He is also an aggressive rebounder, especially on the offensive end of the floor, where he likes to keep the ball up high for offensive putbacks. Lewinson also runs the floor well for his size and competes with good toughness inside the painted area. He is a good low post defender as well, and does a good job of blocking shots and keeping the ball in play with good timing. Lewinson's combination of size and fundamentals make him an intriguing prospect for the mid-major division-I level. Where he needs continued improvement is in his athleticism and ability to get off the floor.
