Dewitt has double digit offers
The Missouri Tigers have two alumni of Charis Prep in Wilson, NC on this year's roster. Mike Anderson is hoping to add a third in the 2009 recruiting class. The Tigers are one of many teams in pursuit of 6-foot-10 Keith Dewitt.
Dewitt landed at Charis out of T. Wingate Andrews High School in High Point, NC. He averaged 16.5 points and 13 rebounds during the portion of last year he was on the floor.
Dewitt has not played on the AAU circuit this summer, instead focusing on his schoolwork in Wilson. Plenty of coaches have used time on the road to check out Dewitt in action at Charis.
The list of schools that have offered Dewitt is long. Missouri, West Virginia, Nebraska, North Carolina State, Florida State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Marquette, Cincinatti, Miami and LaSalle are his 11 offers thus far. At one point, it was thought Dewitt was committed to Bob Huggins and West Virginia, but that thought was premature.
Peralta and Dewitt both say the player is open to everyone in the recruiting process at this point in time. He has yet to take any campus visits, but will fill his fall with a full slate of official trips.
