Five-star center J'mison Morgan makes decison
The UCLA Bruins landed five-star center J'Mison Morgan (6-10, 275) from Dallas (Texas) South Oak Cliff., and not a second too soon because Morgan is just what the doctor ordered. Morgan is a perfect for a Howland coached team. He knows the meaning of hard work and it was his work ethic that helped achieve five star status.
"J'mison chose UCLA," South Oak Cliff coach James Mays said. "He had a comfort level with UCLA. The Bruins were is second choice he ended up picking LSU and the difference was location.
"LSU was closer to home and it would have been easier for his family and friends to attend the games," Mays said. "When the coaching change at LSU came about, it allowed him to revisit his second choice, UCLA.
"J'mison is really advanced on the defensive end of the game," Mays said. "He's a great shot blocker and an excellent rebounder."
This a great get for UCLA and it fills a huge need. The Bruins get an outstanding and intimidating defensive presence in the paint.
Morgan was a member of the Rivals150 for class of 2008 landing as the nation's No. 25 prospect at any position. Rivals.com ranks Morgan as the No. 4 center in the country and he his rates as the Lone Star State's No. 2 prospect at any position.
