Blogging from King James, Day 2

KENT, Ohio-Noah Cottrill was at the King James Shooting Stars Classic again with his Ohio Basketball Club, a year older, his sideburns an inch longer, and just a tuft of hair on his head where once was a buzz cut.

The 6-foot-2 sophomore at Poca who committed to Coach Bob Huggins' program this time a year ago said his game continues to progress too.

As a 15-year-old, the guard was known as a three-point shooter who could penetrate and dish with any young guard in the East. Having starred again for Poca for a consecutive year, Cottrill is quicker now without the ball and is working on his handle. He will occasionally lose control, particularly when he plays too fast and maybe when his future coach is watching.
