Releford named MVP of Derby Classic

Travis Releford's true colors were on display this weekend in Louisville. During the pregame introductions of the Derby Classic, the four-star shooting guard proudly ran through the tunnel and onto the court waving a Kansas Jayhawks National Championship shirt. As if that weren't enough to make KU fans proud, Releford was named the MVP of the game after scoring 21-points on 10-of-16 shooting.

Releford, the 6-foot-5, 190-pound shooting guard from Bishop Miege High School in Shawnee Mission, Kan., was simply at his best during the Derby Classic. The No. 70 ranked player in the class of 2008, was named the MVP of the Derby Classic after scoring 21-points on 10-of-16 shooting.
