Singleton down to two, has date set

Four-star Dunwoody (Ga.) forward Chris Singleton says he has narrowed his college decision to a pair of finalists and set a date for his announcement.

"At this point, there's not really much going on. All that's left for me to do is make a decision between two schools," he said. "I've narrowed it down to Kentucky and Florida State. I'm not leaning one way or the other right now, so the next couple of weeks I've just got to sit down, think about it, and make sure I make the right choice."

Asked if there was any possibility his recruitment could spill over to the spring, Singleton said: "No. I'm going to have my decision on the 14th. I'll be ready by then. I just want to make the right choice and move on with my season."

He also noted that, contrary to speculation, he was likely done with visits. "The only thing I have scheduled right now is (announcing on) the 14th."

Singleton (6-9, 215) was strongly considering Tennessee early in the process. The Volunteers appeared to be the leader at one point in his recruitment, but slipped behind the Wildcats and Seminoles last month after he wrapped up a series of campus visits.
