Aggies host suprise 5-star visitor Sunday

Texas A&M basketball has gone through a few changes recently with the departure of All-American point guard Acie Law, the graduation of two other main contributors and a changeover in head coaches with the arrival of Mark Turgeon. The Aggies also welcomed in a star-studded five-man freshmen class headlined by the No. 8 player in the class of 2007 by Rivals.com, DeAndre Jordan.

One thing that hasn't changed, however, is A&M's fierce work on the recruiting trail. The difference has been A&M's willingness to go outside of Texas to pick up commitments from national top 75 players such as Montverde (FL) Montverde Academy point guard Dashan Harris and Davie (FL) Westlake Prep power forward David Loubeau.

Sunday, though, the Aggies hosted an unofficial visitor from the Lone Star State. Richland guard and Rivals.com five-star prospect Nolan Dennis made the trip from the D/FW Metroplex to meet with the Aggie coaches and watch A&M practice.

The member of the Dallas Mustangs AAU team is rated as the No. 21 player in the nation in the RivalsHoops 2009 Top 100. He has scholarship offers from Texas A&M, Oklahoma State, Arkansas, Baylor, Cincinnati, Indiana, Memphis and North Carolina.
