Will Brown visit Austin?

The Texas Longhorns have been the leader in the recruitment for Port Arthur (Texas) Memorial star combo guard J'Covan Brown for well over a year. While the 6-2, 180-pound scoring guard has been on the campus of Texas a handful of times in the last couple of years, he has not taken an official visit to Texas and has had to reschedule two prior trips in September. With the early signing period drawing near, the question is will the Port Arthur star make the trip west to Austin before November?

It looks like Brown and family may be on the verge of tripping to Austin next weekend, but it's still up in the air. Brown said he wants to make the visit.

Brown, the No.42 overall prospect in the 2008 class, has already visited Oklahoma State and was scheduled to visit Cincinnati last weekend, but didn't make the trip. The Auburn Tigers and Baylor Bears have both been making their pitch along with the Longhorns. Brown says he is considering five schools and doesn't know if there will necessarily be a deciding factor.
