Miller visiting Rutgers

As basketball conferences go, the Big East is notorious for its physicality and size.

Houston Elite's Dwight Miller, a 6-foot-8, 224-pound late bloomer from Houston by way of the Bahamas, who could improve both areas for Rutgers, picked the Scarlet Knights for his first official visit.

Miller said he expects to be on the campus of Rutgers in "two weeks", but will know an exact time in the coming days.

Rutherford is more familiar with Big 12 schools (Kansas State offered). However, he praised Scarlet Knight coach Fred Hill for "running NBA stuff" and his ability to prepare college athletes for the next level. Schools such as Nebraska, Wake Forest and Houston have recruited Miller since the 10th grade. In fact, the Demon Deacons staff compared the young Miller to Josh Howard of the Dallas Mavericks.
