Dwight Miller on the rise

Houston (Texas) St. Pius X budding star Dwight Miller is yet the latest in a string of Bahamian athletes who have traversed the well-worn path into the NCAA Division I collegiate ranks developed by former Olympian Frank Rutherford. Rutherford has been a mentor, guide and father figure to several prospects out of the Bahamas who have excelled in college basketball or football over the past several years.

The 6-foot-8, 220-pound Miller is Rutherford's latest protégé, and the power forward recruit showed flashes over the summer that he could be a very special one before all is said and done.

He has offers from Rutgers, Nebraska, Kansas State, Marquette, Miami and Oregon State and Illinois.
