Top Texan hits the road
As the state of Texas has become a necessary stop for recruiters, prospects in the cities of Houston and Dallas have become hot commodities.
One of the top and most highly recruited prospects in the 2008 recruiting class has been Anthony Jones of Houston Yates. The 6-9, 185-pound prospect is ranked No. 46 in the Rivals 150 and comes equipped with a sweet stroke.
Several colleges have extended scholarship offers but Jones has narrowed his list to three - Baylor, Texas A&M, and Texas. This weekend the highly coveted 2008 prospect plans to take his first official visit.
"I'm going to Baylor this weekend," said Jones. "I like the coaching staff. I've known them since I was in the eighth grade. It's close to home, so my family can come see me if I do decide to go there."
