Brown narrowing his focus

Guard J'Covan Brown saw his summer end pre-maturely when he broke a bone in his foot. However, he has not seen any slow down on the recruiting front.

His talents are well known around the state of Texas. He has been on the scene since leading Beaumont Kelly to a state title as a freshman point guard. Now at Port Arthur Memorial, he is ranked No. 42 in the 2008 recruiting class and the No. 6 shooting guard in the country. Needless to say the list of offers started early and the attention continues to come.

The combo guard has begun to narrow his focus with Texas, Baylor, Oklahoma State, Lamar, Cincinnati, and New Mexico still in the hunt. But of the six, three have separated themselves at this point.
