Gamecocks lead for point guard

For much of his high school career, Damier Pitts flew under the proverbial radar. A touch smaller than many of his contemporaries, the 5-foot-10 point guard was overlooked by many colleges despite his deft shooting touch and his flair for hitting big shots.

But a solid junior season, including being named MVP of two mid-season tournaments, coupled with success at the AAU level with the Carolina Raptors, has changed that, and many major Division I programs are giving Pitts more than just a look.
