Brown working to get back on the court

Port Arthur Memorial combo guard J'Covan Brown had his summer on the AAU circuit ended early with a broken bone in the left foot that required surgery and rehab. The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Golden Triangle scoring machine has spent the last two months rehabbing with hopes of getting back on the court in a couple of months. Brown says rehab is going well.

The summer being lost to injury hasn't scared off any college programs. Interested schools still include Texas, Baylor, New Mexico, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Cincinnati.
