From Kidd to Ezeli
There were no long drives and little traffic to talk about during summertime basketball's largest prep weekend of the year in Las Vegas. While the city stayed the same, the games were located in gyms fairly close to the the strip. Despite Reebok, Nike, and Adidas all running their own respective tournaments again, the weather was cool, the games were close, and basketball essentially ruled Sin City.
Day 1 even featured an intrasquad version of Team USA on display at the Thomas & Mack Center, led by arguably the greatest player to ever don a Cal basketball uniform, the one and only Jason Kidd. With prep games starting early and running deep in to the night at the Cox Center, which is essentially connected to the Thomas & Mack Center, it was a unique opportunity for prep hoopsters to see what was essentially an NBA All-Star game while they were in town.
