Big day for Rosario

South Orange, N.J. - After the U-17 Playaz claimed this year's Joe Brown Memorial championship on the campus of Seton Hall University yesterday, Mike Rosario separated himself from the pack and headed toward the scorer's table.

Were his stats for real? Was he really that hot?

Oh yes, Mike, the stats were real. And you were that hot.

Rosario hit a flurry of five second half three-pointers - mostly from the left corner - in shredding the defense of Team Breakdown like a Thanksgiving Day turkey en route to a 66-37 victory.

In the championship game, Rosario posted a game-high 23 points while connecting on seven 3's. Rutgers head coach Fred Hill stood and watched from the sidelines as the St. Anthony two-guard energized the crowd with every catch-and-shoot motion. Scarlet Knight assistant coach Craig Carter was also in attendance.
