Craig Smith Clone Set to Decide

BC's rise to prominence as a national top-20 basketball program has coincided with some very successful recruiting in California. With a four-year starter in Sean Marshall and two All-Americans in Jared Dudley and Craig Smith all hailing from the Golden Bear state and all recently graduating from the school, BC has become an attractive destination for the Golden State's elite. Thus, it should come as no surprise to hear that the BC staff is hot on the tails of another California standout: Los Angeles Price power forward Tyreese Breshers.

Breshers, coming off a visit to BC last weekend, should be making a decision in the near future. Eagle Action recently sat down with Breshers' coach, Mike Lynch, to gauge the four-star power forward's interest in Boston College.

The 6-foot-7, 240-pound Craig Smith clone is arguably BC's top recruit in the 2008 class. Not only does Breshers fit a positional need, but also his skill set embodies the type of play at Boston College: a physical, do-it-all approach.

Breshers has visited UCLA, Washington, Washington State and now BC, and plans to visit Miami this coming week. All of the aforementioned schools have offered except UCLA.
