Will Thompkins commitment effect UGA recruiting?

When the Georgia Bulldogs received a verbal commitment from five-star forward Howard Thompkins for the 2008 class it marked head Coach Dennis Felton's first five-star recruit at Georgia, but it also may have opened door for several talented signees for the 2009 class.

Thompkins has played with two of Georgia's biggest targets for 2009: forward Derrick Favors a five-star player from South Atlanta High School, and forward Noel Johnson a four-star forward from Fayette County High School in Lovejoy, Georgia.

Rivals.com Recruiting Basketball Senior Writer Justin Young thinks the Bulldogs are in a good position to land Favors especially after getting the commitment from Thompkins.
