Brown suffers summer ending injury

If there was an MVP award handed out at the Texas Elite Camp two weeks ago, it would have gone to Port Arthur Memorial combo guard J'Covan Brown. Brown put on a two-day show of scoring and passing the ball in traffic against all comers.

The Port Arthur Memorial combo guard returned home Friday afternoon after the camp to play in an area tournament. On Saturday, June 2, Brown suffered a tough luck injury, breaking a bone in his foot while chasing down a loose ball.

Brown will now face three months of rest and rehab ending his summer on the AAU circuit. Before he can begin his rehab, he has to let the foot set for two weeks.
