Steele making waves in AAU

Four-star guard Andrew Steele has come a long way in earning a national reputation on the AAU circuit this year. After playing primarily on the 16 and under circuit last year with the Alabama Challenge Steele, 6-foot-3, 195-pounds, has stepped up in the higher age group and is proving he's one of the South's top prospects.

"I think I've done alright so far. I didn't go out to prove anything to anyone but myself. I knew what I could do. It's different for me in AAU basketball because I'm playing with more of a college type team because of the talent around me so I can play my natural position," Steele said. "In high school I do whatever it takes for us to win. If they need me to post up I do that and I have to do a lot of rebounding. I don't mind it at all. It's a good learning experience for me. I've grown tougher and learned to get inside and get the ball out."
