Shumpert flourished in April

Former Minnesota coach Dan Monson offered Oak Park, Illinois shooting guard Iman Shumpert a scholarship before he left the University and now Tubby Smith is looking at Shumpert as a potential prospect. At 6-foot-3 and 185 pounds, Shumpert is ranked in the Rivals top 150 and he is getting a wide range of high major interest with his outstanding play in April.

This past weekend at the King James Shootout, Minnesota coaches were in attendance as Shumpert put on shooting displays so deadly that teams had to throw Box-and-One defenses on him to simply contain. In his repertoire Iman has a deadly pull-up jumper out to three-point range that he can make with defenders in his face and he gave the coaches in Akron, Ohio a taste of this ability.
