Bear gives USC a verbal but how strong?

Stoneridge Prep point guard Angelo "Bear" Johnson recently made a verbal to the University of Southern California and coach Tim Floyd. The 5-foot-10 point guard from Minneapolis, Minnesota has attended prep school on the Pacific Coast for a year now leading Stoneridge's line-up of division one players in both scoring and assists. But with Tubby Smith taking the Gopher job, is Minnesota still a possibility for the Bear?

Johnson is ranked by Rivals as the 12th best point guard prospect in the 2008 class and Oklahoma State, Cincinnati, Tennessee, Virginia and Washington were showing strong interest but Bear has chose to verbal with USC.
