Green to look strongly at Tubby's Gophers

Minnesota is strongly recruiting Saginaw, Michigan's Draymond Green, a 6-foot-7, 225 pound power forward.

Green recently led his team to the state title averaging 25 points, 13 rebounds and five assists a game. Draymond was committed to Kentucky but when coach Tubby Smith took the job at Minnesota, Green's recruitment opened.

Green committed to Kentucky on Feb. 19, but since that day coach Tubby Smith has left the Wildcats and the plans of Draymond Green have changed.

Now that Green is uncommitted, Minnesota and Kentucky will have a lot of competition to acquire the services of this 6-foot-7 power forward. Schools showing recent interest include Wake Forest, Xavier, Tennessee and Boston College.

You can also include Minnesota as a team that has offered Green and schools like Michigan, Michigan State and Kansas have shown solid interest.
