K-State, Huggins interested in Gates

While the Kansas State coaching staff continues to work to put the final touches on the 2007 recruiting class, they have already begun work for the 2008 class as targets are being identified across the country. One of the nation's top prospects, Yancy Gates is drawing attention from schools across the country and has K-State and Bob Huggins among the schools he is considering.

The 6-foot-8, 250-pound Gates hasn't narrowed things down yet for recruiting.

The list of schools recruiting the nation's No. 17 ranked prospect in the Class of 2008 Rivals150 includes Cincinnati, Georgetown, Ohio State, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Xavier, Illinois, Pittsburgh and Louisville in addition to the Wildcats.
