Q&A with Jamil Wilson

On Thursday night, BadgerBlitz.com was in the stands at Horlick High School in Racine, Wis., to check out 2009 prospect Jamil Wilson. After a Horlick overtime loss, Jon McNamara spoke with Wilson. Here is that conversation.

Talk a little about the recruiting process and who exactly has offered you thus far?

Wilson: Couple full rides, Wisconsin and Marquette, a couple of Big Ten schools, as the season progresses, I have been getting a couple offers from across the country, you know, Florida, Ohio. It is not big deal to me right now because I am no where near college, I am just worried about high school. It is amazing what you can do when you work hard and it is fun to see what is happening and I'm glad.

Impressions of Bo Ryan and the UW program?

Wilson: Bo Ryan, great coach, great person to talk to, I can see myself playing there. Good coach, great building, great academic surroundings, they have a great program going down up there so that will defiantly be in my selection when the time comes.

Preference of staying home or traveling far to play in college?

Wilson: I really don't know right now, it will come down to what works out best for me. I'll make that decision with my friends and family.
