One-on-One with Delvon Roe

Carolina Blue's Clint Jackson scores an exclusive one on one interview with UNC's top basketball recruit for the class of 2008 -- Delvon Roe.

CB - How's the season progressing? What's the current record for St. Edwards and what are your approximate stats for the season?

ROE - It's going good. We're 15-0 and ranked 14th in the country. I'm real excited about our progress. Personally, for my stats, I'm averaging 21 points, nine rebounds, six blocks, five assists and four steals a game.

CB - Five assists? That's pretty amazing at your position.

ROE- Yeah, I've been getting lots of double teams, so it's just a matter of finding the open man out there.

CB- You've recently been quoted by media resources that Carolina was your leader at the current time. What is it about Carolina that put them in the number one slot?

ROE - The way they play. I think it's the easiest transition from high school to college for me. I think UNC would be a great fit for that. I really don't have an official leader, but someone asked me if I HAD to choose a college right now, who would it be, so I told them Carolina.
