Cats getting early look from '09 power forward

The Kentucky basketball program has been criticized in some circles of late for being behind in the recruiting game, but Tubby Smith has hosted several underclassmen on unofficial visits this season.

Juniors Darius Miller, Philip Jurick, and Carter McMasters were all spotted in the Rupp Arena crowd in December, as was sophomore Jacob Jenkins. Another 2009 talent, Goodfield (Ill.) Eureka power forward Jordan Prosser, recently caught the Kentucky-EKU game, and he's hearing from some of the best schools in the Midwest.

Bradley has already offered Prosser (6-foot-8, 210) a scholarship, and Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota and Illinois State are also showing interest. Meiss says he hasn't heard much about specific teams from his young star, but he knows Prosser is having a great time.
