Hoops: Draymond Green lands an offer

Tommy Amaker and his staff have spent plenty of time recruiting Saginaw (Mich.) in recent years, looking last season at big man Josh Southern (now a senior headed for Boston College). But another Saginaw star has stolen the spotlight from Southern this season … 6-7 junior Draymond Green, fast becoming one of the most coveted juniors in the state.

Green's ever expanding list of interested coaches seems to back up Dawkins' claim. Xavier, long enamored, stepped up with an offer Jan. 22, Dawkins said. Kentucky's Tubby Smith followed Green closely this summer, and plans to be in Saginaw to check him out on Feb. 2, while Green has already taken an unofficial to Indiana.
