Evans keeping his options open for now

RALEIGH, N.C. - 2008 phenom Tyreke Evans didn't score his usual pile of points Wednesday evening in Aston (Pa.) American Christian's Showcase game against Durham (N.C.) Mount Zion in the Glaxo-Smith Kline Holiday Invitational, but he found several ways to get involved in helping lead the Eagles to an 81-70 victory.

Evans picked up two fouls early in the game, and did not play at all in the second quarter, but he finished the game with 14 points and 4 assists.

Evans, who is friends with current Tar Heel Wayne Ellington, has not been able to make an unofficial or official visit yet to North Carolina.

Evans, who has looked to be a strong North Carolina lean for months, does not appear to be in any kind of rush to make a decision regarding his future college home, and he does not currently claim a leader in his recruitment. The only school he has visited to this point is Louisville.

Evans, a versatile guard, is capable of helping his team in many ways.
