Self excited to add Reed

After signing his Letter-of-Intent with the Kansas Jayhawks, Tyrel Reed, the No. 99 ranked player in the class of 2007, faxed the signed paperwork to the Univesity of Kansas basketball office. According to head coach Bill Self, he couldn't be happier with Reed's decision to attend KU next year.

Coached by his father, Stacy, Reed (6-3, guard) averaged 23.6 points per game as a junior last season for Burlington High School.

For the past two years Reed has played AAU basketball for KC Pump N' Run. The No. 14 ranked point guard in the class chose Kansas over Missouri, Oklahoma, Stanford and Missouri State.
