Huggins thrilled to land Walker

Earlier today Kansas State released an official statement saying that five-star rated recruit Bill Walker would be eligible to play for the Wildcats this season, as he'll be able to make his debut on Dec. 17 against Kennesaw State at Bramlage Coliseum. K-State coach Bob Huggins held a teleconference this afternoon to discuss the news and talk about Walker as a player.

Just how big of a get is this?
"He's a great kid. That's really exciting, to get a guy of his ability. I think he was unquestionably the most explosive athlete on the summer circuit the past couple of years. He's very unselfish. He plays hard, rebounds and tries to defend. Sometimes you say, 'This guy can't be this good as a person,' and I think he is. I would have maybe some concerns with a guy getting eligible at the middle of the year if he wasn't such a great guy. I know how well he's going to fit in and get along with everybody."
