Gates is being pursued by many

The city of Cincinnati is the home to one of the best players in the 2008 class. Yancy Gates is one of the most sought after players in the country. The 6-foot-9 man child has a rare blend of skill, athleticism, and size. Gates' father Tony Dees took time out and gave an update on how things are going in regards to recruiting and basketball.

The biggest development for Gates this summer was his decision to transfer from Hughes High School to Withrow High School. While the schools are located only about five miles away, it is a major switch for Gates and the entire family.

Gates has had numerous open gyms this summer, and several colleges have come down to view them. Among the schools are Cincinnati, Florida, Georgetown, Kansas State, Louisville, Ohio State, Syracuse, Wake Forest and Xavier.
